Activities
Horseback Riding

Knowledgeable wranglers match you to the perfect horse, whether you are a complete beginner or an expert rider. An introductory riding lesson is included if you wish and you will learn how to be comfortable and commune with these majestic animals. If you are an advanced rider, you will have great freedom to explore the countryside on numerous types of daily rides. Those who wish to practice the symbiosis of yoga, meditation, and riding will benefit from increased peace, balance, flexibility and body awareness in the saddle.

Meditation & Yoga

Jennie’s classes are an unexpected mix of therapeutic as well as challenging yoga postures, breathwork to quiet the restless mind and meditation to develop deep inner listening, all intuitively delivered at the right level for whoever is present. She draws from a dedicated personal practice of the Eight Limbs of Yoga as well as her studies in Spiritual Psychology, and Body-Centered Psychotherapy. Regardless of your experience in yoga or meditation, you will enjoy her inspired flow, something different each day, integrating many styles and approaches to nourishing the body and mind through the classical teachings, anchored in Love.

Spirit writing workshops

Let go of daily concerns and allow your creativity to rise like a sunrise from your heart. Whether you are a professional writer or a journal doodler, we will use this writing time to align with deep inner knowing. Jennie’s guidance in spirit writing will help you quiet the restless mind, so you can feel inspired and at peace. The workshops are times of self-reflection through writing prompts, as well as optional sharing and facilitation toward increased clarity of expression for those working on something specific. Participants also receive $100 of a Spirit Writing Package with Jennie before the retreat.

7am: Yoga and Meditation Practice (variety of styles: Vinyasa, Kundalini, Restorative and more)
9am: Farm fresh breakfast
10 – 11am: Writing Workshop
12 – 4pm: Activity Time for:

  • Horseback adventures
  • Stress relieving hikes, energizing mountain bike rides
  • Visits to nearby villages or open markets
  • Excursions to the Teotichuacan Pyramids
  • Spa and pool time for personal reflections (and margaritas)
  • Private yoga therapy or writing coaching sessions

7pm: Dinner and Free Time for star gazing, fireside chats, dancing, silence, a midnight swim, who knows!

Cost

  • Double occupancy room w/ private bath: $1995 / per person

Cancellation Policy: Final payment is due by Dec 15, 2018. No refunds are available after that as costs to the center are incurred to reserve. To be safe, it is recommended that you purchase travel insurance. Passport required for travel to Mexico.

Jennie Lee is the author of Breathing Love: Meditation in Action (2018) and True Yoga: Practicing with the Yoga Sutras for Happiness and Spiritual Fulfillment (2016). A Yoga Therapist for the past 20 years, she helps people find their joy within, overcoming stress, grief and anxiety through the transformative practices of classical yoga, meditation and writing. Her passion is helping people to evolve in Self awareness and purpose, which she feels is an unending journey in learning to love more. Jennie has been a lifelong rider and owned numerous horses. She enjoys integrating principles of yoga and meditation with horse interaction. Jennie is Certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT), and the Yoga Alliance (RYT 500).
