Position:  Wrangler/Barn Manager

What are your responsibilities as Barn Manager?  I am in charge of the horses’ health at the Rancho. I give daily medicines when needed and treat any wounds that may appear.

When did you start at the Rancho? February 2014

Past positions at the Rancho:  I started in maintenance but moved into the wrangler position after two months.

What is the first thing you do when you start your work day?  The first thing I do is check over the horses scheduled to go out for the day to make sure they are healthy to work.

What do you like most about your job?  Working with the horses.

Languages spoken:  Spanish and a little bit of English

Where are you from? Daxthi, a small pueblo about 45 minutes by car from the Rancho.

Family?  I’m not married and do not have any children.  I live with my mom, dad, sister and her two children.

What do you do when you have time off work?  I spend my time off with my niece and nephew during the days teaching them about horses and riding.
