At Rancho Las Cascadas, we don’t believe you need to be an experienced equestrian to enjoy horseback riding. All you need is curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a love of nature.

Your adventure begins the moment you arrive at the ranch.
Whether you arrive in the morning or later in the day, we’ll be here to welcome you with true Mexican hospitality. Settle into your room, enjoy a refreshing drink, and take time to explore the beautiful surroundings before meeting the rest of the group.
If time allows, we’ll introduce you to the horses and the ranch before gathering for a relaxed welcome dinner where you’ll get to know your fellow guests and hear about the exciting week ahead.
Tonight is all about relaxing, settling in, and beginning your journey.
Today is one of the most important days of the week.
Before we think about riding, we’ll introduce you to your horse.
You’ll learn how to safely approach, groom, tack up, and care for your horse while gaining an understanding of horse behaviour and communication. We’ll explain why horses respond the way they do and how building trust on the ground creates confidence in the saddle.
After lunch, it’s time for your first trail ride.
There’s no pressure and no rush. We’ll ride at a relaxed pace through the beautiful countryside surrounding the ranch, allowing you to become comfortable while enjoying your very first Mexican trail ride.
With yesterday’s experience behind you, today is all about building confidence.
You’ll continue learning practical horsemanship while developing your riding skills through gentle coaching and real-life trail riding.
As you become more comfortable, you’ll notice how your horse responds to your confidence, balance, and communication.
The trails become a little longer today, giving you plenty of opportunities to relax, enjoy the scenery, and experience the wonderful rhythm of riding through the Mexican countryside.
After returning to the ranch, spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, soaking in the hot tub, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
Today is all about putting everything you’ve learned into practice.
After breakfast, we’ll saddle up and head out on one of our favourite rides through the spectacular mountains, valleys, and open countryside that surround Rancho Las Cascadas.
By now, you’ll feel much more comfortable with your horse, allowing you to focus less on riding and more on enjoying the incredible scenery around you.
Along the way, we’ll stop to take photographs, enjoy the views, and appreciate just how much your confidence has grown over the past few days.
Many guests say this is the day they truly fall in love with horseback riding.
This morning we’ll visit one of our favourite traditional Mexican markets.
Browse colourful stalls, discover local crafts, meet friendly vendors, and experience everyday life in rural Mexico.
After returning to the ranch, we’ll enjoy one final ride together—a chance to celebrate everything you’ve accomplished during the week and spend a little more time with the horse you’ve come to know so well.
In the evening, we’ll gather for a farewell dinner filled with laughter, stories, and plenty of memories from the week.
It’s the perfect way to celebrate your journey.
Enjoy one final breakfast overlooking the mountains before it’s time to say goodbye.
You’ll leave with far more than photographs.
