Join Stacey Carter with Heart Centered Horsemanship
Mindful Horsemanship is about prioritizing how our shared experience feels for both horse and human. Rather than focusing on technique or control, we will explore how to hold a calm, respectful space where horses can be authentically themselves and engage as sentient, equal partners.
Mindful Horsemanship is based on the Three Tiers:
How we show up: Do we hold a safe space for ourselves and the horse? Can we communicate safety through our body language? Can we stay grounded, present, and responsive in each moment, showing up in a way that encourages the horse to relax and soften?
Giving the horse a reason to connect: Through calm presence and supportive touch, we can offer the horses a space that feels good. As we strengthen connection, we create a relationship in which the horses choose to be with us.
Speaking the Horse’s Language: The horses communicate in an embodied language of movement, body language, position, and energy. When we learn to speak their language, we don’t have to rely on training to communicate with clarity and understanding.
If you are interested in learning more about how mindfulness, presence, touch, and embodied communication can improve your horsemanship skills, you are invited to join us for a mini-workshop in the afternoons from February 7th to 11th.
If you are staying with us here at the Rancho this sessions are included in your rancho stay!
